Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) Vice President Jim Ryan has confirmed to Gamespot AU that PlayTV is selling rather well in Europe since it’s release in September. Ryan stated that there are plans to launch PlayTV in Australia sometime in 2009.
It’s launched in a number of European countries with good sales, steady sales, and we’re looking forward to bringing the product to Australia at some point in 2009,
There are a couple of issues–technical and commercial–that we have to work through, but it’s definitely on the roadmap.
Australia, you have something to look forwards to.
After posting the first LittleBigPlanet advert yesterday, the second advert has popped up and here it is. Find the last one tomorrow.

Activision Blizzard believes that the Playstation 3 will outsell the Xbox 360 this year. Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith provided the company’s expectations for console hardware growth in North America and Europe combined.
Griffiths predicts that the 360 is expected to shift 6 to 7 million ubits for this calender year while he predicts that the PS3 should grow by 8 million units.
It’s about time developers started believing in the PS3, only good things can come from them if they believe in it.
It’s not all bad news for Europe as Sony Computer Entertainment Europe are believed to be sending out Home invites once v1.0 is live. TedTheDog made a comment on the European Playstation Forums stating this.
As Timski said, we’ll be sending our invites once v1.0 is live.
Understand that SCEA’s motivation to reward annual subscribers to QORE is a little different to our motivation to do a load test before Open Beta.
Please dont worry though, we here at SCEE really do have a lot of invites to send and Open Beta will be along within weeks of that as well.
For the people in Europe, keep an eye on your inbox.
Qore Episode 6 is coming to the Playstation Store for North America today. This is what your going to find inside.
Qore annual subscribers who purchased subscriptions by 10/29 will be invited into the PlayStation Home closed beta. Participation in PlayStation Home’s closed beta is limited to those 18 years and older and requires agreement to the PlayStation Home Beta Trial Agreement.
Bethesda Softworks Pete Hines has been answering user questions over at Eurogamer. One of the questions asked was if the PS3 version of Fallout 3 will have trophy support. The answer is yes but not from day 1, but it is coming.
trisrobb asks: Will the PS3 version receive Trophy support in the future?
Pete Hines: It’s going to happen, just not sure when. We’ll let folks know when we have something more definitive.
No word on when the trophy patch will be available though, probably next year.

We reported some news a couple of days ago suggestion that on the 12th of December we will see some sort of expansion or extension to Metal Gear Solid 4 in conjunction with the ‘6 months’ thing.
It appears that Metal Gear Solid 4 will not see an update next month. Konami has told CVG that there are no plans to release further expansions for the game.
There are no plans to expand Metal Gear Solid 4,
All further expansions are planned for Metal Gear Online,
The next expansion to be released by Konami is for Metal Gear Online called Meme Expansion. It will be released some time this month.
After recent news stated that the image import feature will not make LittleBigPlanet from day 1 and would be implemented by Christmas could well be false.
According to the following screenshot, it seems that the feature is in the game.
Looks like Media Molecule denied it because it wasn’t made public via a press release.
