Sucker Punch, maker of the upcoming game inFamous announced that they will bring out three “builds”. They look as following:
- English, Portuguese, Russian
- French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch
- Polish
The Polish build is because the PlayStation OS doesn’t support the language yet. The English build will support Portuguese and Russian language settings. But the second build is where the problem arises.
At the request of SCEE, build #1 and #2 were seperated. Why? We don’t know (yet), Sucker Punch probably doesn’t either. People in The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France and Italy who prefer to play their game in English will not take this lightly. Some might even boycott the game. SCEE has made weird decisions in the past but this one might harm software sales for local retail stores.
I guess this will be a good time for UK online retailers, as they will probably get a boost in sales from the European mainland

This is just a measure to ban importers IMO.
UK online retailers are having a good time thanks to the Pound Sterling’s plummeting. Current GBP – EUR exchange rates benefit european shoppers, so they are heading to UK online retailers to buy games at a reasonable price instead of being ripped off at ther local retailers.
Well, not anymore
As an ‘announcement’, it’s quite sad. The small letter is they’re going to milk us as much as they can.
