Lost Planet sequel in development

Remember when everyone thought Lost Planet would be exclsuive to the Xbox 360? Developers Capcom announced that a Playstation 3 version of the game will be released and this was called Lost Planet: Extreme Edition. Soon after the announcement a demo was released on the Playstation Store and it was a multiplayer demo.
Now guess what? A sequel is in the works. Capcom announced that a sequel to Lost Planet is in development and confirmed this to Japanese magazine Famitsu.
The game is scheduled to be released sometime this year.
